Counseling is a unique relationship and it can be helpful to know who you will be meeting with when you come in for that first visit! I am a graduate of Richmont Graduate University with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia (License #LPC008757). My experience has been in private practice settings working with individuals and couples at the Hope Center at Mount Paran, Jordan Stones Center for Counseling, The Genesis Center for Christian Counseling, and now Waystone Therapy. Additionally, I trained and worked at Peachford Hospital doing group counseling in a partial hospitalization setting for a number of years. In 2017 I began offering Neurofeedback, a brain-based biofeedback modality, as an additional therapeutic tool.
Prior to obtaining my counseling degree I worked for several years in the corporate world as a Human Resources Professional and developed a heart for helping individuals manage the many challenges of work and life. I enjoyed many things about that work, but wanted even greater freedom to assist individuals with finding healing and help in their daily lives, which ultimately led to my entering the counseling field.
Whether it be related to relationships, work, or difficulties managing daily life, I seek to collaborate with clients to clarify the beliefs and patterns that are feeding current struggles. Once we identify the key areas to explore, clients can expect to have a therapeutic approach tailored to their experience and needs. I would be happy to set a time to speak regarding whether my approach and experience would be a good fit for you!
